Last week we were at Cersaie 2019 in Bologna.
With 161,000 square metres of products on show, Cersaie is one of the world’s largest tile and bathroom furniture exhibitions.
Manufacturers from all over the world come to Cersaie to show the latest innovations and the trends in the world of tiles and bathroom furniture that we can look forward to in 2020.
Every stand is totally Instagrammable, and heaven for lovers of Interior Design. It’s no wonder that it’s one of the highlights of our year!
Bold & Beautiful Botanics
Searches for vertical gardens on Pinterest are up 287 percent, and this trend for bringing the outdoors in is featured in this display at Cersaie.
In early 2019 trends in interior design reflected that Beige is back – and it looks like a renewed love for this warm neutral is a trend that’s set to continue into 2020.
Beige doesn’t mean boring, instead it’s perfect for creating a paired back, uplifting space.
Bold Geometric Patterns
Mid-century patterns featured big at Cersaie 2019.
Making Patterns with Mosaics
Mini hexagonal mosaic tiles take on a whole new look when different colours are combined to create different patterns.
Keep it safe with timeless black and white, or be bold and play with colour.
Metallic tiles really add wow factor.
Here geometric patterns and 3D surfaces combined with a metallic finish create an edgy and striking effect.
Embossed tiles will add depth and texture to a wall, and can be mixed with plain tiles for a totally bespoke look.
Interior trends have seen a resurgence in the use of vintage tin ceiling tiles for walls and splashbacks, but these are hard to source and as such quite costly. If you like the look of tin ceiling tiles, embossed tiles are a cost effective way to recreate the look.
Large Format Slabs
Create a striking feature wall or facade with large format slabs that look like slices of stone or marble. With fewer (or none) grout lines, large format slabs really accentuate and open up your space.
