Your right to cancel an online order

If you are a consumer and purchase goods from Halo Tiles online, you generally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

For most goods, you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us that you wish to cancel. If an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, the 14-day period begins when you receive the last of those goods.

Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

How to cancel

Before your items are fulfilled, you can submit a cancellation request through your Halo Tiles customer account. Once items have been fulfilled, the cancellation option is no longer available. This does not affect your statutory right to cancel an eligible online purchase.

You can exercise your right to cancel in either of the following ways:

Sign in to your account here, locate the relevant order and use the available cancellation option.

By email:
Email sales@halotiles.ie with a clear statement that you wish to cancel your order. Please include your name and order number so that we can identify your order.

You may also use the Model Cancellation Form provided below, but you are not required to use the form.

Your cancellation is made in time provided you send your cancellation request before the relevant 14-day cancellation period has expired.

Returning goods after cancellation

Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your order, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your cancellation.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your right to cancel, unless Halo Tiles has agreed otherwise.

Many of our products, including tiles, bathroom products and other large or heavy goods, may not normally be suitable for return by standard post. If you require Halo Tiles to arrange a courier collection, please contact us on 053 9383700 or sales@halotiles.ie before arranging the return. Courier collection charges apply.

You may also arrange an appropriate carrier yourself or return the goods to the return address above.

Condition of returned goods

You should take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.

You may inspect the goods as reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose.

Refunds

If you validly cancel your online order, we will reimburse the payments received from you, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.

If you chose a more expensive delivery method, any additional cost above our least expensive standard delivery option does not have to be refunded.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to cancel. Where goods have already been delivered, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you provide evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed, refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction and you will not be charged a fee for the refund.

Exceptions to the right to cancel

The statutory right to cancel does not apply in certain circumstances set out in consumer law. These include, where applicable, goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, and goods which, by their nature, become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.

These exceptions do not remove your separate statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Faulty or damaged goods

The right of withdrawal described on this page is primarily your right to change your mind about an eligible online purchase.

Different statutory rights apply where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract. Your rights in relation to faulty or non-conforming goods are not limited by the 14-day cancellation period described above.

If you prefer, you can use our Model Cancellation Form to notify us that you wish to cancel your contract. Use of this form is optional — you may also cancel through your customer account or by emailing sales@halotiles.ie with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
